TTD sanctions Rs 2 lakh each to DDAC to propagate Hindu dharma
Tirupati, Sep 19 (UNI) To revive Hindu culture and protect traditions in the society, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) will sanction Rs two lakh each to the District Dharmik Advisory councils (DDAC) established in all the 23 districts in the state, TTD Chairman D K Audikesavulu said here today.
Inaugurating the Orientation programme for DDAC members here, Mr Audikesavulu stressed the need to propagate Sanatana Dharma vigorously at the village level.
The TTD has already taken up various social activities including mass marriages, Mangala Kisiki Dwadasa and other programmes for propagation of hindu cult among the people in the society, he said.
The DDAC would organise bhajan evenings, street plays and similar shows as well as provide religious books to propagate dharma in the society, TTD Executive officer K V Ramanachary said at the meeting attended by several senior journalists and DDAC members from 23 districts in the state among others.
