Student killed in wall collapse

Hyderabad, Sep 20 (UNI) A student was killed and 26 others were injured, four of them seriously, when a part of a multi-storeyed building of a corporate Junior College collapsed at Ghatkesar on the outskirts of the city today.

Police said a wall in the third floor of the building collapsed as the students rushed out after the bell for lunch break rang.

The body of the deceased, identified as Lokesh, was recovered while the injured were rushed to a nearby private hospital, police said.

A search was on to find out if any student had fallen into the sump in the building.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy directed the Education Department to immediately submit a report to him.
