Speaker inaugurates exhibition on Haryana's progress

Chandigarh, Sept 20 (UNI) Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker Raghuvir Singh Kadian inaugurated an exhibition depicting developmental strides made by the state at the Vidhan Sabha complex here today. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Kadian said the exhibition depicted the tremendous progress made by Haryana in all spheres of development.

Apart from depicting significant achievements made by the state in various fields of development, the exhibition also displays messages of Haryana Governor A R Kidwai, Speaker Vidhan Sabha Raghuvir Singh Kadian and Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.

There exhibition features illustrations to highlight the facilities being given to students belonging to the weaker sections of the society, progress made in the areas of road and transportation, education, power and industry.

Also, there were images of historical buildings of the state like Badsi Gate, Hansi which dated back to 1303 A D and Gateway of Old Mughal Sarai, Karnal dating to 1637 A D.

There was also a sale counter set up by Lok Sabha to sell various books, brass bowls, paper weights, nut trays, wall clocks, tea sets and key rings. All these items bear the markings of the Parliament and can be bought as mementoes.
