Sandalwood meant for Myanmar seized in Meghalaya
Shillong, Sep 20 (UNI) At least two persons were arrested and sandalwood, meant for Myanmar via Mizoram, seized today.
Ri Bhoi District Superintendent of Police M K Dkhar said acting on a tip-off, police yesterday seized sandalwood worth crores of rupees from a truck at Byrnihat bordering Assam.
Police said the sandalwood were loaded in the truck bearing a Harayana registration number.
Police also arrested the driver and the helper of the truck.
Meanwhile, police had registered a case against the duo.
