Panic over gun shots at check post

Barwani, MP, Sep 20 (UNI) Panic prevailed after gunshots like sound emanated from a car at the inter-state toll tax barrier on Madhya Pradesh Maharashtra border on Agra-Mumbai highway near Balsamund in this district, police said today.

Check-post employees and other people were in panic after a car sped past the post at high speed last night.

Police personnel from Nagalwadi police station, who reached the spot, found that the gun shot like sound was the outcome of a faulty gas-kit fitted in the car.

Car owner stopped his vehicle at a distance away on the Dhalen road when people realised their folly, police added.
