Mayor's death: Doctor granted bail
Bilaspur, Sep 20 (UNI) A district court has granted bail to cardiologist Jairam Iyer, who has been charged with negligence in attending to city mayor Ashok Pingley leading to his death.
After going through bail plea and police case diary yesterday, Additional Sessions Judge A K Singhal granted conditional bail to Iyer on a personal bond of Rs 10,000.
Dr Iyer was arrested recently after a criminal case was filed in the case. He was admitted to hospital when he fell ill.
Iyer had been providing services to Apollo hospital, from where he was expelled after the death of the city mayor.
