Lokayukta arrests two engineers for accepting graft

Mysore, Sep 20 (UNI) Two engineers of Chamundeswari Electricity Supply Company were arrested by Lokayukta police today after they were caught red handed while accepting bribes from a contractor.

According to Lokayuktha officials, Assistant Engineer Prasanna Kumar and Assistat Executive Engineer Nandish, had demanaded Rs 25,000 and Rs 50,000 respectively from the contractor to clear his bill of Rs 10.15 lakh for works done by him.

Following a complaint from the contractor, Lokayuktha officials trapped and arrested them, while accepting the bribe at their office.
