KLO ultra nabbed in Assam

Coochbehar, Sep 20 (UNI) A Kamtapur Liberation Organisation (KLO) cadre was nabbed at Kokshaguri village under Gosaigaon police station in Assam's Kokrajhar district last night.

Informing this, SP, Coochbehar, Debendra Prakash Singh today said Ratan Burman(27) was arrested during a joint operation launched by the district police and Assam Police.

Mr Singh added that incriminating documents and CDs were recovered from his possession.

He informed that a remand of ten days into police custody had been sought from the court, estimating that the KLO militants had nexus with the separatist organisations in North Bengal.

The SP further informed that the police acted on a tip-off obtained after interrogating Ramanath Roy, another KLO ultra who was arrested on September nine.
