Grenades, UBGL recovered in Poonch, Reasi

Jammu, Sep 20 (UNI) Security forces recovered a huge dump of arms and ammunition including grenades and UBGL in twin districts of Poonch and Reasi in Jammu and Kashmir, official sources here today said.

''Based on specific information, a joint search operation was launched by the security forces in Oran Rathiri Dakh in Loran area of bordering Poonch district,'' official sources told UNI.

Ten hand grenades, 240 rounds of AK, 252 Pika rounds, 13 UBGL grenades, 8 AK magazines, two bags and one colour combat pouch were recovered from the hideout, they said.

Meanwhile in another search operation, a hideout was busted in Larkhumba area of Reasi district.

''One UBGL, four UBGL cells, 18 AK magazines, one SLR magazine, one pistol magazine, 93 Pika rounds with chain, seven empty broken chains of Pika and one mortar brush were recovered from the hideout,'' sources added.
