DGP asks police to be more vigilant on Maoist activity

Kakinada, Sep 20: Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police SSP Yadav on Saturday Sep 20 asked policemen in the district to remain alert to face the challenges from the Maoists in the agency area.

Reviewing the law and order situation with Sub divisional police officers and Circle Inspectors of police at the district police station here, he asked them to strive for improving the image of the police department by taking prompt action on complaints received from the public, maintain utmost cordiality with the people and render justice to them.

''Police should anticipate law and order problems much in advance and ready to tackle them, nipping the problem in the bud itself,'' he added.
