Bihar Water Resources Minister misleading people on flood:RJD
Patna, Sep 20 (UNI) The RJD today alleged that state Water Resources Minister Vijendra Prasad Yadav and senior JD(U) leader Shivanand Tiwari were making misleading statements on circumstances leading to breach in the Kosi embankment at Kushaha in Nepal on August 18.
National spokesman of the party Shyam Rajak told reporters here that both leaders were deliberately making misleading statements just to save Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who did not take suitable steps for flood protection works on the Kosi bund.
''The NDA government has not replied to any of the 26 charges levelled against Mr Kumar and it is an implicit admission of the guilt of the state government on lapses leading to devastating flood in North Bihar, '' Mr Rajak maintained.
''Instead of misleading the people of Bihar, both leaders should exert pressure on the Chief Minister for proper distribution of relief materials among the flood victims, '' Mr Rajak suggested.
