AR organizes HIV/AIDS awareness campaign

Imphal, Sep 20 (UNI) To spread awareness about HIV/AIDS Assam Rifle has launched campaign in interior areas of Manipur including Chandel district.

The PRO of Assam rifles here said issues related to HIV/AIDS were informed to the villagers.

Medical camps were also being organised to educate villagers about the chronic disease.

Several units of Assam Rifles were engaged in organizing medical camps and awareness campaigns and the turn out was good, the PRO said.

Free medicines were also distributed to the villagers, PRO added.
