APLOA urges owners not to send vehicles to K'taka
Vijayawada, Sep 20: In view of the Karnataka Government's decision to compulsorily fix Speed Governors to the vehicles in the state, the Andhra Pradesh Lorry Owners Association (APLOA) on Saturday, Sep 20 urged the owners in the state to stop plying vehicles to Karnataka from October 1.
Talking to newspersons here, APLOA General Secretary Y V Esware Rao said the decision of the Karnataka Government would pose problem on the national transport systems.
Mr Rao urged the Karnataka Government to postpone implementation of Speed Governors from October 1.
The people in Andhra Pradesh would face difficulties, as there would be stoppage of vegetables from Karnataka, he added.
He said since the issue was pending in the Supreme Court, problem would arise if the Karnataka Government proceeds with its decision.
