27 killed, 27 injured in Islamabad blast

Islamabad, Sep 20 (UNI) At least 27 people were killed and more than 50 injured in the deadliest ever suicide attack in Islamabad tonight.

According to eyewitnesses, a suicide bomber struck his explosives-packed vehicle at the main entrance of the five-star Marriott Hotel, just fifteen minutes after the Iftar party.

The impact of the explosion was so huge that the window panes of the nearby buildings were smashed.

Dozens of cars were damaged and the blast created a deep crater at the entrace.

There were scenes of destruction all over with bodies scattered everywhere.
