10 Pak security personnel killed in suicide attack in Waziristan
Peshawar, Sep 20 : At least 10 Pakistani security personnel have been killed and several others have been wounded when their convoy was targeted by a suicide bomber on Bannu Road in North Waziristan.
Sources said that the security forces convoy was targeted near the Essa check post on the Miranshah-Bannu Road, five kilometers away from Miranshah.
They further said that the security forces caravan was on its way to Miranshah from Bannu, when suicide bomber rammed his explosive laden vehicle with the convoy, which left two vehicles of the security forces destroyed with over 20 personnel on board.
The injured and the dead have been shifted by helicopter to Bannu. Security forces have cordoned off the area and Bannu-Miranshah Road has been closed for traffic, The News reported.
