TVS Motors delivers 250 Apache motorcycles on single day

Hyderabad, Sep 19 (UNI) TVS Motor Company celebrated the first anniversary of its 'Apache RTR', with mass delivery of 250 premium segment motorcycles today.

With the mass delivery, the company became the first two-wheeler manufacturer in Andhra Pradesh to deliver 250 motorcycles, booked over a period of one week, on a single day.

Addressing mediapersons here, Company Vice-President (Sales) R Dilip said, ''Apache, as a brand has been very well received.

While the premium segment grew at four per cent year-on-year in 2008-09, TVS Motor company has beaten the industry growth rate, registering approximately 32 per cent of growth in the performance segment.'' ''Andhra Pradesh is currently the second largest market for premium segment motorcycles after Delhi. TVS Motor company has put up a phenomenal performance in the state, registering approximately 70 per cent growth over the previous year in the premium segment, while the state witnessed 20 per cent growth in the premium segment during this period,'' he added.
