Rupee resumes high at 46.25 against USD

Mumbai, Sep 19: The rupee opened high on Friday, Sep 19 at 46.25 against US Dollar, with a gain of 16 paise from its last finish of 46.41, on fresh selling of dollar by local nationalised banks.

Later, it fluctuated in a wide range between 46.23 and 46.40 in the mid-morning session. Brokers said Rupee rallied today as a firm local share market calmed concerns about more foreign fund outflows. However, a stronger dollar overseas and demand from importers is likely to keep lid on gains, brokers added.
