Man sentenced to death for killing wife and kids

Jalandhar, Sep 19 (UNI) A local court today awarded capital punishment to a person, who allegedly killed his wife and two minor children in September last year at Khambran village in the district.

While pronouncing the judgement, District and Sessions Judge, Gurdev Singh said that the case was 'rarest of rare category' and it deserved capital punishment.

The convicted person identified as Tarsem Singh had allegedly killed his wife and two minor children with an iron rod on September 21 last year. He had then set the house of fire to mislead the police.

However, investigation by the police revealed that Tarsem Singh who did not enjoy healthy relation with his wife was behind the crime.
