Daughter of former legislator kidnapped in Lucknow

Lucknow, Sep 19 (UNI) The daughter of former member of state Legisaltive Council was allegedly kidnapped in the state capital last evening.

Political rivalry is said to be the reason behind the kidnapping of 27-year-old Gazala, said police officials investigating the case.

Superintendent of Police(West) Paresh Pandey said a named FIR of kidnapping has been registered at Wazirganj police station against a SP leader and two youths.

Former Congress MLC Mushir Ahmed Lari had registered the case of kidnapping of his divorcee daughter by two car-borne youths from the busy Hazratganj market at around 1600 hrs.

'' The mobile phone of his daughter was switched off after she informed me that she was kidnapped by two youths'', Lari stated before the police.

Police said the case would be solved very soon.
