Congress organises workshop to make spokespersons media savvy
Navi Mumbai, Sep 19 (UNI) With an eye on the ensuing general and state elections, the Congress today organised a special training workshop for spokespersons for the party from western region.
Speaking at the workshop after its inauguration, senior Congress leader from Karnataka Veerappa Moily stressed that the spokespersons of the party should be able to project the party in a better manner before the media.
Mr Moily said media was becoming more and more powerful. In this situation, it was essential to project the Congress 'Brand' in a proper manner.
Union Power Minister Sushilkumar Shinde admitted that the people were facing power crunch but hastened to add that efforts were on to bridge the gap between demand and supply. With the help of nuclear power and others, it could soon be achieved.
Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Manikrao Thakre exhorted the party workers to work for the victory of the party at the hustings.
