Verity Technologies launches new mobile application

Bangalore, Sep 18 (UNI) Verity Technologies, a mobile services company in the domain of authentication and identity services, today announced the launch of its innovative device 'SLIM', a biometric authenticator in the application of Mobile, Internet and Online financial services.

Speaking after launching the device, Company CEO Anuradha Bansal said the innovative product developed after four years of research and development was designed for fast and mobile lifestyle and works with the users' mobile phones or PCs.

She said the device had the capability to accurately identify a person enacting a transaction yet it was totally impersonal, non-invasive and theft-proof.

Outlining the functions, Ms Bansal said the bluetooth equipped device worked on one-to-one basis with almost any bluetooth-enabled mobile phone.

To make it work with the phone during the enrolment process the device sends a text containing a small piece of client software to the user.

Activation of the software and the SLIM occurs whilst enrolling and the handset only requires minimal user input.

''SLIM is a product that would ignite the imagination of the telecom world and in the process trigger a business and social revolution in the country,'' she claimed.

She said the technology was initially developed to deter casual theft of mobile handsets but subsequently upgraded to be the de-facto device for mobile personal authentication.

Replying to questions, Ms Bansal said Verity Technologies had developed the device after spending over two million pounds in a span of over four years, she added.
