Gold, Silver spurted on Sep 18
Mumbai, Sep 18: Both the precious metals spurted on Wednesday, Sep 18 with silver rising by Rs 1,085 per kg to Rs 19,950 and gold by Rs 1,295 per ten gm to Rs 13,050, from their last close on bullish global advices, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association (BBA) said.
In international market too, gold was up at USD 872.50/873.00 per ounce from USD 785.00/785.50, while silver was at USD 11.79/11.80 an ounce from USD 10.82/10.83. Gold and silver surged as investors sought a safe haven in bullion amidst tumbling global stocks, a Tokyo market report said.
Following were the opening domestic spot rates: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade: Rs 19,950 Gold (per 10 gm): 99.5 purity standard mint: Rs 13,050 99.9 purity pure gold: Rs 13,120.
