Ryan O'Neal, son arrested on drug charges

Washington, September 18 : Actor Ryan O'Neal and his son have been arrested after police officials found drugs at their Malibu residence.

During a routine probation check of the actor's son, the authorities found both men in possession of narcotics.

Investigators suspect both men had methamphetamine though the substances are yet to be tested, said Los Angeles County Sheriff's spokesman, Steve Whitmore.

According to CBS news, both the Oscar nominated actor and his son, are being held in custody in custody on 10, 000 dollar bail and could be tried on drug possession charges.

The 23-year old Redmond is already serving three years of probation after pleading guilty in June to drug possession charges.
