Rupee declines by 30 paise against USD

Mumbai, Sep 18: The Rupee on Thursday, Sep 18 opened low at 46.64/66 against US Dollar, with a big loss of 30 paise, from its previous close of 46.34 on fresh speculative dollar demand by nationaised banks.

Later, it fluctuated a narrow range between 46.62 and 46.79 in the mid-morning session. Dealers said the drop was mainly due to concerns over capital outflow from the bourses and also firm crude oil prices in the global markets.
