PWD engineers stage demonstration
Puducherry, Sep 18: PWD Engineers Coordination Committee members on Thursday, Sep 18 went on a token strike and held a demonstration infront of the Chief Engineer's office to press their demands.
They were demanding filling up of all vacant engineers posts, regularisation of engineers and provision of assured career progression scheme. Meanwhile, the Communist Party of India (CPI) held a demonstration in front of the Ariyankuppam Commune Panchayat office, seeking a remedy to the mosquito menace in that area.
