Nursing education programme on disaster management
Chandigarh, Sep 18 (UNI) A ten-day Continuing Nursing Education Programme on the topic "Nursing Intervention in Disaster Management" was today inaugurated at the Command Hospital at Chandimandir.
Stressing on the importance of disaster management, Maj Gen Charanjeet Singh, MG, Medical HQ (WC), who inaugurated the conference, said that "it is essential to have such educational activities to keep the nursing staff informed with the latest happenings in the field of disaster management and help ushering in new concepts and remedies in times of disaster.
He called upon everyone to be prepared to face such challenges so that intensity of the effects of such challenges could be reduced to the minimum.
As many as 30 delegates comprising nursing officers from various hospitals of Western Command and candidates from civil institutions are participating in the programme.
