Naval Chief reviews Southern Naval Command projects

Kochi, Sep 18 (UNI) Chief of Naval Staff and Chairman, Chiefs of Staff Committee, Admiral Sureesh Mehta, today reviewed the ongoing projects at the Southern Naval Command headquarters here.

Admiral Mehta, who arrived here in the afternoon from Ezhimala, visited INS Garuda, the Naval Air Station, and also the sites of the Married Accommodation Project (MAP) at Panampilly Nagar and Fort Kochi.

He will address the officers of the Command tomorrow morning, after which he is slated to visit the Cochin Ship Yard Limited, where work is progressing on the prestigious aircraft carrier project.

The Admiral would also participate in the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of the Naval Armament Depot, Aluva, tomorrow.

Yesterday, he had reviewed the work of the Naval Academy Project, Ezhimala.
