Lupin acquires majority stake in South Africa's Pharma Dynamics

New Delhi, Sep 18 (UNI) Pharma major Lupin Ltd today said it has completed the acquisition of a majority stake in South Africa's Pharma Dynamics (PD).

PD, which ranks number six amongst generic companies, is growing at 34 per cent per annum as per IMS.

In the current year, the company will launch at least one product each month, which is much higher than the industry standards of about four new products per year.

The backward integration capabilities of Lupin will assist with patent issues, regular and reliable supplies and overall process control, a company satement said.
