Gunmen attempt to kill two in Kishtwar

Jammu, Sep 18 (UNI) Unidentified gunmen today attempted to kill two people in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir, police sources here said.

''Two unidentified gunmen barged into the house of one Shabir Ahmad Dar and Ghulam Hassan Bhat, both residents of Sigdi, Chatroo,'' police sources told UNI asserting that the gunmen fired upon Shabir Ahmad Dar with an intention to kill him, but missed the target.

''They also demanded Rs 2 lakh from Ghulam Hassan Bhat and Rs 50000 from Shabir Ahmad while case against FIR No 31/08 under sections 307, 452 RPC and 3/2 Indian Arms Act has been registered against them,'' the police sources added.
