Govt responsible for worsening law

Beed, Maharashtra, Sept 18 (UNI) Shiv Sena Executive President Uddhav Thackeray today alleged that the law and order situation in the country was worsening due to the callous attitude of the Union Government.

Mr Thackeray had come to the district to visit the dacoity and rape victims of Kathoda village.

The incident, that occurred a few days ago, had created a uproar across the district. ''Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh and other cabinet ministers have come to Aurangabad for the cabinet meeting, but none of them came here to visit the victims,'' Mr thackeray said.

The state had said they will rehabilitate the victims, but appropriate steps have not been taken yet, Mr Thackeray said.
