CCEA approves Rs 79.70 cr support for liquidating dues in 10 CPSUs

New Delhi, Sep 18 (UNI) The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) today gave approval in respect of ten loss making Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) under the Department of Heavy Industry for liquidating outstanding statutory dues, salary and wages for a period of five months from January 1 to May 31 this year.

Briefing newspersons on the outcome of the CCEA decisions, Finance Minister P Chidambaram said the Budgetary support in this regard will be to the tune of Rs 79.70 crore.

The loss making companies for which the statutory dues are to be liquidated are: Bharat Wagon Engg Co Ltd, Hindustan Cables Ltd, HMT Ltd, HMT (Watches) Ltd, HMT (Chinar Watches) Ltd, Hindustan Photo Films Ltd, Instrumentation Ltd, National Instruments Ltd, Triveni Structurals Ltd and Tungbhadra Steel Products Ltd.
