Vishwakarma Puja held in Meghalaya

Shillong, Sep 17 (UNI) Vishwakarma Puja was held throughout this tribal dominated state today with traditional gaiety.

All the big or small mechanical workshops have arranged for the puja.

Puja organizers, however, faced problem in purchasing materials including fruits and vegetables as the prices had gone much higher in the market comparing with the last year.

Prices of vegetables has doubled due to flood in Assam, organizers said.

This hill station turned into a festive mood since last one week due to the Vishwakarma and Durga Puja.

Special feasts were also organised on the occassion.

Lord Vishwakarma is considered as the presiding deity of all craftsmen and architects.
