Top management selling share is 'baseless' rumour: ICICI

Chennai, Sep 17 (UNI) The ICICI bank today dismissed as 'baseless', rumours that the top management has been selling the bank's shares for the last few days.

A bank release here said a malicious rumour was being spread to the effect that some top management personnel have been selling shares for the past few days.

"These rumours are baseless and irresponsibile. No shares have been sold by members of the top management of the bank during the current year", the release said.

The bank was taking up this matter with regulatory authorities for necessary action against those responsible for spreading the rumours, the release added.
