Sub-postmaster sentenced in bribery case
Patna, Sept 17 (UNI) The special CBI judge of Patna R.S.Prasad today awarded one year of rigorous imprisonment to a sub postmaster in a bribery case.
The court also slapped a fine of Rs 3,000 against the convict.
The designated judge found guilty Radha Raman Singh, a former sub-postmaster of Patna Collectorate Post Office under the various sections of 'Prevention of Corruption Act'.
According to the charges, the convict was caught red handed by CBI sleuths while accepting a bribe of Rs 500 from Shalini Jaiswal, an agent of the post office for payment of her commission on November 17, 2003.
