Pondy Govt to weed out bogus ration cards
Puducherry, Sep 17: Puducherry Civil Supplies Minister M Kandasamy today said the administration would take steps to wipe out bogus ration cards in the Union Territory.
Talking to newspersons here, he said Lt Governor had adviced the administration to eradicate bogus cards.
The adminstration would constitute a committee, which along with civil supplies, revenue departments, DRDA, and youth forums would conduct a survey in every area to weed out bogus ration cards.
More than one card in a house under the pretext of different families, red colour ration card with wealthy people and government employees would be seized and cancelled, he added.
