Nicole Kidman to star and produce new action flick 'The Eighth Wonder'

Melbourne, Sept 17 : Nicole Kidman has signed on to produce and star in a new film 'The Eighth Wonder', it has emerged.

The action-adventure film is about an archaeological discovery that sets off a race around the world.

The flick has been picked up by 20th Century Fox from screenwriter Simon Kinberg, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Kinberg is due to start work on the script for the treasure-hunt thriller shortly, which will be produced by Kidman and Laurence Mark, reports News.com.au.

Kidman and Kinberg first met while working on Mr and Mrs Smith, which Kidman was due to star in before having to drop out for scheduling reasons.

They have since been looking for a project to work on together, the film trade publication reports.
