Naval Chief to review aircraft carrier, naval academy projects
Kochi, Sep 17 (UNI) Chief of Naval Staff and Chairman Chiefs of Staff Committee, Admiral Sureesh Mehta, will arrive at the Southern Naval Command headquarters here tomorrow as part of a three-day official visit to Kerala starting today.
During his visit here, the Naval chief would be briefed on the various developmental and operational activities of the Southern Naval Command, a spokesman for the Southern Naval Command said.
He will address the officers of the Command on the morning of September 19, after which he is slated to visit the Cochin Ship Yard Limited, where work is progressing on the prestigious aircraft carrier project.
The Admiral would also participate in the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of the Naval Armament Depot, Aluva, on September 19.
The Naval chief would would be formally received at INS Zamorin, Ezhimala, by Vice-Admiral Sunil K Damle, Flag Officer Commanding in Chief, Southern Naval Command, today. He will review the work of the Naval Academy Project, Ezhimala.
