Maoist killed, arms recovered in Chatra
Hazaribagh, Sep 17 (UNI) A Maoist was killed in an encounter with security forces at Ghama hill under Simaria police station area in neighbouring Chatra district today.
Superintendent of Police Praveen Kumar Singh said the encounter continued for about two and half hours killing the ultra on the spot.
Mr Singh said five ultras were injured in the encounter but they managed to escape.
Police recovered an SLR, 450 live cartridges, 4 electric gelatin, Rs 19000 in cash and some jewellery from the spot.
