Hike in Home Guards allowances

Mumbai, Sept 17 (UNI) The Maharashtra Government has hiked the allowances of Home Guards from September 1, 2008.

The government has hiked duty allowance to Rs 150 from Rs 75, snacks allowances to Rs 50 from Rs 15, (Rs 50 to volunteers in the Police Commissionerate jurisdiction and Rs 25 to volunteers in other areas).

These allowances will be given for continuous 10 hours duty in a day including parade allowances--Rs 45 from Rs 22.50, pocket allowances--Rs 25 from Rs 15 and lunch allowances--Rs 65 from Rs 30, an official release said here today.
