Government General Hospital to get face lift
Kakinada, Sep 17 (UNI) East Godavari District Collector Gopalakrishna Dwivedi today said the Kakinada Government General Hospital would get a face lift, with the construction of new blocks at a cost of Rs five crore.
After inaugurating the super speciality block constructed at a cost of Rs 80 lakh and the pediatrics block renovated at a cost of Rs 4 lakh in the hospital premises, Mr Dwivedi, who is also the Chairman of the Hospital Development Committee, told newspersons here that efforts were being made to develop the hospital on par with the corporate hospitals, providing modern equipments and appointing the required staff on contract basis.
Earlier, the Collector, accompanied by local MLA Mutha Gopalakrishna, Hospital Superintendent M B R Sharma and Ranagaraya Medical College Principal Siva Sankar Kotne, inspected various wings in the super-speciality blocks and other wards in the hospital.
