Fingerprints same on all 3 defused bombs: Forensic tests
New Delhi, Sep 17 (UNI) Forensic tests have revealed that three bombs defused by the police had fingerprints of the same person, triggering speculation of a single mastermind behind the Delhi serial blasts.
Sources in the National Security Guards (NSG) said all the three bombs had the markings of a single person as shown during tests.
However, sources did not elaborate whether any of the fingerprints in the police's infobank matched with that of the bombs, saying it was still being looked into.
Meanwhile, sleuths carried out several raids across the capital in connection with the September 13 blasts, leading to speculation of actually having the details of the person involved in the blasts.
Officials, however, refused to confirm any such thing parroting their worn out phrase - ''investigations were moving in the right direction''.
But sources attribute today's raids to the forensic findings, and subsequent 'matching' it with their data bank of criminals.
Despite the day-long raids, no arrests have been reported from anywhere so far, sources added.
