Draft on wetland to be discussed

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 17 (UNI) The Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment will organise a discussion on the draft ''Regulatory Framework for the Conservation of Wetlands' here on September 27.

The draft issued by the Union Ministry of Environment and Forests had categorised wetlands into three different classes, which included several prohibited and regulated activities.

Many eminent persons would participate in the discussion, being organised by the wetland technical unit of the Council, a release here said.
