Construction workers stage demo

Puducherry, Sep 17 (UNI) Construction workers affiliated to the AITUC today took out a procession and held a demonstration in front of the Labour Department to press their demands.

They were demanding, among other things, proper functioning of the Constructgion Workers Welfare Board and provision of rain coats to board members.

CPI national council member R Viswanathan inaugurated the procession at the Rajiv Gandhi statue here.
