AR to hold Commanders' Conference in Meghalaya

Shillong, Sep 17 (UNI) A two-day bi-annual Commanders' Conference of the Assam Rifles (AR) would be organised at its headquarters from Friday.

The conference would be inaugurated by Director General of the force Lt Gen Karan Singh Yadav.

AR sources said the endeavour of the conference would be to coordinate smooth functioning of the para-military force units and formation headquarters to examine the administrative and logistic aspects of the force.

The conference holds significance in light of the aspects of security in the entire Northeastern states.

Additional Director General of AR Maj Gen Gurdeep Singh, Maj Gen J P Nehra and Inspector Generals of North and South sectors, among others, would be present at the conference, the sources stated.
