AR to hold commanders conference in Meghalaya

Shillong, Sep 17 (UNI) A two-day Bi-Annual Commanders' Conference of Assam Rifles will be organised at its headquarters from Friday, to be inaugurated by Director General of the force Lt Gen Karan Singh Yadav.

AR sources said here today that the endeavour of the conference would be to coordinate smooth functioning of the para-military forces units and formation headquarters as also to examine the administrative and logistics aspects of the force.

The conference holds significance in the light of aspects of security in the entire Northeastern states.

Additional Director General of AR Maj Gen Gurdeep Singh, Maj Gen J P Nehra and Inspector Generals of North and South sectors, among others, will be present at the conference, the sources stated.
