AIFB relieves Biswas of RS membership

Kolkata, Sep 17 (UNI) All India Forward Bloc central secretariat has approved senior leader Debabrata Biswas' request to relieve him from the Rajya Sabha membership for the interest of the organisation.

Talking to newspersons here, AIFB state secretary Ashok Ghosh said the two-day central secretariat meeting was held in Kolkata on September 16 and 17 where senior leader Debabrata Biswas requested for being relieved from the Rajya Sabha membership for the greater interest of the party's organisation and this was approved in today's meeting.

He said the Bangla Committee would decide who will be nominated for the vacant post, and it will be approved in the party's state secretariat meeting to be held on September 19.
