3 killed, 26 injured in road mishaps
Badwani, MP, Sep 17 (UNI) Three people were killed and 26 injured in two different accidents in the last 24 hours on Agra-Mumbai national highway in this district, police said today.
A man was killed and 17 injured when a jeep boarded by them collided head-on with a truck in this district's Thikari area at wee hours today.
The jeep, used to distribute newspaper bundles at different places, collided head-on with the truck near Khurmura village injuring 18 people, including the jeep driver. The injured were rushed to the hospitals at Thikari, Badwani and Indore.
Warla-resident Champalal Yadav (18) succumbed to his injuries.
In yesterday's mishap in which a jeep dashed against a tree on Agra-Mumbai highway near Segawal area , the death toll rose to two with Rajpur-resident Swapnesh Gupta (22) succumbing to his injuries.
A youth was killed on the spot and nine injured in the incident.
