1 killed, 12 injured in slab collapse

Kolhapur, Sep 17 (UNI) One person was killed and 12 injured, when a portion of a slab collapsed on them at Dindanerlee village in Karvir tehsil of the district today.

A new spinning mill was being built in the village and the workers were enagaged in construction work this afternoon, when the incident occurred, police said.

The deceased, identified as Sanjay Shripati Kamble (30), died on the spot, while the injured including five women, were rushed to a local hospital, police said.

Two of the injured are in a critical condition, police added.
