Six feared drowned in a boat mishap in Bihar
Sitamarhi, Sep 16 (UNI) Six people were feared drowned in a boat mishap in the river Bagmati near Kansar village of the district here today.
Official sources said due to heavy storm a country-made boat carrying at least 40 villagers overturned and capsized in the mighty Bagmati river under Belsand police station.
The body of a septugenerian lady was fished out, while five others were missing, he added.
The deceased was identified as Malmogia Devi.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced Rs 1.5 lakh as compensation to the members of the bereaved family.
