Sensex closes down positively

Mumbai, Sep 16: Equity benchmarks reversed all losses made during the day as investors picked up bargains in battered index heavyweights. Midcaps and smallcaps were also on recovery mode.

At 3.15 pm, Bombay Stock Exchange's Sensex was up 9 points at 13,540, recovering from a low of 13,051.73.

National Stock Exchange's Nifty climbed 0.29 per cent or 11.65 points to 4084.55 from a low of 3919.35.
